Tasting- Morada Sangria

Name: Morada Sangria
Variety: Sangria blend
Region: La ManchaCountry
Country: Spain
Year: NV
Price: $4.95

Winery review: Morada Sangria is a traditional Spanish drink made with red wine and citrus extracts. Garnet color and fresh on the palate. Pasteurization preserves the color, aromas and flavors. 7% Alc. It is a very refreshing Sangria with around 85 grams of sugar. Sangria is now one of the hottest items in the beverage industry and it’s growing exponentially year to year. Serve well chilled, on its own or with lemonade and slices of fruit like peach, banana or apple.

My review: This wine gave me a bit of a surprise.  I got a strong fruity aroma on the nose, that reminded me almost of Hi-C.  Then upon tasting it, I got the same thing, a lot of citrus with a fresh fruity flavor that reminded me of a fruit juice, like Hi-C.  The wine itself was almost the undertone here, as I could only get a hint of any kind of alcohol content.  I bought a bottle of this, and will definitely try it again.

This wine was tasted on its own with no food.
